Mountain Bike – XC Mountain Bike Race

The annual MQT Trails Festival Cross Country Mountain bike race will take place on Sunday morning, June 27th, 2021. The event, carries on 20 years of tradition of racing on Marquette’s renowned South Trail system. The races utilize challenging single track terrain over ~16 mile course.

Waves Start at 9:30am, check your Runsignup.com registration to see what time/wave you start in.

IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!
The XC Mountain Bike Race will start at the Two Track Grade (snowmobile trail) on the other side of CR 553. Please park at Marquette Mountain or the South Trails parking lot and safely make your way across the highway or go under the Carp River bridge (watch out for possible racers coming at you!). Do not park on the highway! We will have road crossing volunteers to assist you if you cross the road.

Brief course description: Start at Two Track Grade (snowmobile trail) just past where Down Dogger crosses. Turn left onto Carp Eh Diem. Go under the bridge on Down Dogger and head towards Porky Pine Pass. Greywalls to the top of Benson. Down Dogger to the ski hill. Then up the Marquette Mountain service road to Zeug’s, cross the Carp River, ride Blue Trail to Herky Jerky to finish.
If you would like to pre-ride the racecourse, please keep in mind that you will need a pass to Marquette Mountain to ride on their property. You can purchase a season pass (pedal only – $50) or a day pass (pedal only – $5) on their website.
